Time is FLYING!! Day 18!!
I can't believe how fast the days are ticking by in this journey! Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges...WOW!
The video this past week was really helpful in understanding all of the laws, rules and regulations in Leviticus! If you weren't able to make it to the Monday night meeting, there are a few people who are getting together on Thursday (yes, today!) at 1pm at Heather's house...or you can borrow the video...or you can always listen to it online! Please do at least one...you won't be disappointed!
Any comments or questions as you are going through your readings? Any thing really stand out that you want to share? Any ideas on how to get caught up or ahead on the reading?!? wink, wink! :)
Monday is only a few days away...! See you soon!!

GO!
The challenge has been given...have you committed?!? :) Time to get started on reading the whole Bible, cover to cover in 90 days!
We had a great a.m. meeting at Heather's house! Praise the Lord for kids who played nicely together while we did our study. :) A few things that I got there were to not get hung up if I don't understand everything that I am reading...say it with me, "this is not an in-depth Bible study" and is meant to show me the big picture. I am going to grab a small notebook to keep by my side for those random thoughts that try and steal my attention whenever I am reading the Bible. PLAN a time to do the reading...we conceeded (somewhat begrudgingly) that getting up early before the kids is probably what it is going to take...and sitting at the kitchen table instead of the couch is sound practical advice!
I had a quick afternoon filled with rain, reading, rain, picture day at the girls' dance class, rain, locking my keys in the running car as we were trying to leave the studio, rain, dinner and then...
A great p.m. meeting at Andrea's house! It was great to have so many new people together here and to see how God worked it in each of your lives to bring you to this point at this exact time! The enthusiasm for this challenge was contagious and I agree with what was said that the more we read His Word, the more we hunger after it...by the end of 90 days, may we all have an insatiable appetite for Scripture! Another great point was that the Bible is historical (not historical fiction) and really did happen, how great that we will see the whole story unfold. Finally, the point that I had never really thought about that sent goosebumps up my spine..."When I stand before God one day (and we all will) and He asks, 'What did you think of my Book?'" Instead of giving Him my lame excuses for not having read it, but having made time for...everything else...I will now be able to have an answer to discuss with Him...provided He gives me 89 more days! :)
Stay focused on your goal, and remember 2 Timothy 3:16-17 is true...
Special thanks to Heather and Andrea for their hospitality today...it was great to have your homes to gather in and share together!! :) Until next Monday...KEEP READING!

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

a.m. Meetings, too!
Okay, so as expected with 17 of us doing this study this summer, it is not possible to have everybody's schedule coordinate perfectly! :) (17, WOW!! You are not alone!) We are going to have a smaller group that meets on Monday morning at 10am at Heather Clarke's house. If you can't come on a Monday evening, know that this is an option. Please let me know here if you are interested in coming Monday morning...
Did I mention that I am so excited about what God is doing here?!? I prayed that anybody and everybody who was willing to take this 90 day summer challenge would be able to come. He is faithful and has brought each of you here! I am "confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart!" (Philippians 1:6-7)
See you Monday!! :)
